I'm running for District Attorney of Harris County---the third largest county in the United States, and more populous than 23 states.
I have been a Harris County prosecutor, defense attorney and grand juror. I know what's needed in the District Attorney's office to serve you, the taxpayer. You need a District Attorney who will enforce the law, from "white collar" to the most violent offenders. I will use the best evidence and technology, to expand the capabilities of the District Attorney's office. I will use modern management technology to create a collaborative environment with law enforcement agencies to bring justice swiftly.
Criminals adapt quickly and the District Attorney's office is not keeping pace. It still relies on slow, antiquated technologies and paper-based practices that aren't cost-effective and waste taxpayers' money. I have a plan to dramatically improve how the District Attorney's office operates, and how it coordinates with law enforcement nationwide and in Harris County.
Most of all, I believe in the law. It must be followed and fairly enforced. It was created to protect you, and that will be my job as District Attorney of Harris County.
